Presentation

The port of Brindisi in the Puglia region of southern Italy has always been of strategic importance in the Mediterranean. Firstly for its shape, a large funnel-shaped bay, a protected natural basin, as well as for its location that promotes the link between the West and the East. The port of Brindisi has always been considered as a gateway to the east. It is one of the largest industrial and commercial ports in the Adriatic. It connects Italy by ferry with Corfu and Zakynthos in the Ionian Islands, Patras and Igoumenitsa in Greece, Sami in Cephalonia and Vlora, Saranda and Durres in Albania. There are up to 15 ferry crossings per day. During the high season, more frequent departures are intended to meet the demand of locals and tourists.

Brindisi is a popular destination, you will find many accommodations and restaurants near the harbor. The old town exudes an almost oriental perfume and reserves to its visitors some hidden jewels in the heart of its alleys: the Via Colonne, with its 17th and 18th century palaces, the 11th century Duomo and the provincial archaeological museum. Also to discover Ostuni, the "White City" located 40 km northwest of Brindisi, a remarkable site of southern Italy.
