The Grimaldi Lines company

The Grimaldi Group was founded in 1947 by the Grimaldi brothers. The range of services offered is rapidly expanding beyond the borders of origin and the current maritime routes carried out by the Group now serve 130 ports in 45 countries in the Mediterranean, northern Europe, West Africa, North and South America.

The current figures are impressive: more than 100 boats are used, 25 of which were built in the last 5 years, 2.8 million cars transported and 1,434,000 rotating units / containers, 53 Grimaldi offices worldwide, 5 companies Logistics Group, 7,800 employees (crews included).

Grimaldi was the first Italian shipping company to obtain the ISO 9001 Quality Certificate and the company also obtained the ISO 14001 Certificate (Environment). In addition, in 2009 the Grimaldi Group won the first edition of the Lloyd's List Global Awards for the "Cruise & Ferry" category, a recognition created by the London daily Lloyd's List to promote the excellence of the maritime sector at a global level.

Grimaldi Lines is now a solid reality in the international maritime transport sector.

The fleet

The 10 boats used are new generation, very comfortable, fast and safe.

The Grimaldi Group, aware of the need to offer a service that is always more quality, has introduced two new Cruise Ferries, Cruise Roma and Cruise Barcelona, which can carry up to 2,794 passengers, on the line that connects Rome (Civitavecchia) in Barcelona. Very comfortable last generation boats, splendidly decorated with attention to detail: wheelchair, internal and external cabins, junior suite and large suite with TV, radio and mini-bar, panoramic restaurant, self-service restaurant, fitness center well-being, a casino, a conference room for meetings and conventions, swimming pool, solarium bar and fast food.
