The port of Oran

The Port of Oran opens on the south shore of the western Mediterranean about 400 km west of Algiers. It houses a ferry terminal for passenger transport, several loading docks and a small marina for pleasure boats. This port is managed by the EPO (the Oran port company). The Oran ferry port connects Algeria to Marseille in France, Almeria and Alicante in Spain. Up to 7 sailings per week are operated by two ferry companies. Second largest city in Algeria, Oran is locally called "Wahran El Bahia": Oran La Radieuse. It is a dynamic city steeped in history with its fortresses, ancient monuments and lively squares.
