Presentation

Lympia, the current port of Nice is between Cannes and Menton in the south of France. The first port of Nice was built in the middle of the 18th century. Until then, the city had only a marina located in the Anse des Ponchettes. In 1749, King Charles Emmanuel III decided to build a new port in the plain of Lympia. Its concretization in 1912 was a long time coming ... Today, the port of Nice welcomes in particular the ferries which assure the crossings towards Corsica which it serves with High Speed Ships. It has two terminals connected by a free shuttle. The Nice ferry port serves Ajaccio, Ile Rousse, Bastia and Porto-Vecchio in Corsica, as well as the Gulf of Aranci in Sardinia with 34 crossings per week. Located in the old center of the city of Nice, the port invites you to stroll on the Promenade des Anglais and the charming old town. Some monuments, such as the former galleys, Notre-Dame church and the monumental staircase overlooking the Cassini quay are classified as historic monuments.
