Trasmediterranea is a Spanish ferry company created in 1917 by José Juan Dómine, Vicente Ferrer, Joaquín Tintoré and Enrique García, following the merger of their respective companies. In recent years, the company belongs to the leading construction company, the Acciona group, and specializes in passenger and freight transport. Acciona Trasmediterranea is the leader of the ferry companies in Spain and continues to develop with new routes to the international. The company provides ferry crossings between Spain and Africa, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.

The fleet : 

Acciona Trasmediterranea has a fleet of 25 modern boats to quickly link the Iberian Peninsula to the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Morocco and Algeria. Trasmediterranea is one of the most modern fleets in Europe, equipped with the latest technological advances in terms of safety and quality of services. The company operates in the south of Spain with links between Cadiz and the Canary Islands, and between Algeciras, Malaga, Almeria and the ports of Tangier, Ceuta, Melilla and Nador in Morocco. Acciona Trasmediterranea also offers crossings from Valencia and Barcelona (Spain) to the ports of Ibiza, Palma and Mahon (Balearic Islands).

It has four high-speed boats (47.00 knots) such as "Alboran", "Milenium dos", "Millennium tres" and "Alcantara dos", ten ferries and two extremely comfortable superferries, offering various facilities: swimming pool , cabins, bar, restaurant, cinema, television, disco, air conditioning and spacious garage. For loading, six large boats with advanced infrastructure for trucks, refrigerated vehicles, machinery, special and heavy transport. An "express service" ensures a fast and safe delivery of the goods.
