The Tirrenia company

Tirrenia connects important Italian and Mediterranean ports throughout the year. The company connects Sardinia from the port of Genoa to the ports of Porto Torres and Olbia, from Civitavecchia to the ports of Olbia and Cagliari, and from the port of Naples to the port of Cagliari. It also connects Sardinia and Sicily with the Cagliari-Palermo lines.

Tirrenia, following the agreement signed with the Italian State, manages the public service of liaison with the big islands: Sardinia, Sicily and the Tremiti Islands.

The fleet :

Their fleet has been profoundly modernized in recent years:

• through a renovation plan, the interior of the main ships of the fleet has been restored;
• The kitchens have been renewed and the new catering companies are preparing meals with products of the typical regional cuisine of Sardinia, Sicily, Campania and Liguria;
• New areas delegated to shopping have been created;
• Special cabins for pets as an accompanying passenger have been installed;
• The cinema on board was taken over thanks to a contract with Warner Bros.
